Gamla Stan is one of Sweden’s best preserved medival centers.
It is characterized by its meandering alleys cobbled streets and old tall buildings in different shades of brown!
The craft shops and galleries in each alley boast of exquisite Scandinavian products!
My little ‘Swed’hearts!
I must say here the cafés and road side restaurants out number the population of Sweden! People make the most of the sunshine by eating outdoors!
On our way to Kungsträdgården, Krissy enjoyed the flowers on the road!
It was such a long lovely walk to Kungsträdgården. We sat by the Fountain by JP Molin and snacked on some sandwiches. The fountain that was built in 1866 added to the beauty of its surroundings!

The garden around the fountain is a treat to the eyes with an array of colorful flowers!
The 63 Sakura (Japanese Cherry) trees of Kungsträdgården is one of its loved feature. We were too late to see it in full bloom this year.

The fountain of Wolodarski was our final spot of the day! It is a large rectangular fountain lined up with large bronze urns overflowing with beautiful white and pink flowers!

It was almost 9 pm, the sun was still shining. We were completely exhausted but totally content with all the sightseeing we could do!

We boarded our bus back from Stockholm T Centralen.
