K&K’s Visit to Sigtuna, Sweden’s First City

I remember this day very vividly from last spring. It felt like I had literally spent my day in a hundred post cards – the kind of feeling you get when you are in a place too pretty to be true. The only time I remember feeling that way was back in 2012 on my visit to Stratford upon Avon, the 16th-century birthplace of William Shakespeare.

I have a great fascination for castles and palaces. I have been to two palaces in Sweden so far. You can read about our visit to the Kungliga Slottet and Drottningholm Slott here and here respectively. Wenngarn was the first castle we visited and boy, I have been waiting ever since to write about it!  Continue reading “K&K at Wenngarn Castle”
