Krissy’s Buck is Out!

29th July 2019. Monday. 14:00 Hrs. Schools across Hyderabad had declared a holiday for a reason I do not remember at the moment. Vijay’s sister, Jasmine, and her boys were spending the day with us. It was a laid back sort of day. The younger kids were playing with magnatiles and watching TV. I was in the kitchen, prepping to serve lunch.

All of a sudden, Krissy, my 5 year old, came to the kitchen with her hands on her throat and said with a muffled voice,

“Mama, I swallowed a corn!”

But I never gave the kids corn!

K&K’s 3rd Day of Christmas: Meeting ‘Jultomten’

It’s the 22nd of December and we are only on our 3rd Day of Christmas. Well, the last three weekends were a whirlwind. Since we have been caroling in several homes across Stockholm, I could not take the kids to any Christmas market or event. However, caroling has been a wonderful experience meeting complete strangers and spreading the season’s joy in their homes! Tomorrow being the last day of caroling for this year and Sunday Christmas Eve, even this weekend is out of question for any kind of Christmas sightseeing. K&K’s 2nd Day of Christmas: Carol Rounds

I had to give in to the sweet pleas for an advent calendar last evening. I told myself, a little chocolate just adds up to the advent spirit!

Growing up in a church that was into very simple living and didn’t give much importance to festive celebrations, most of my Christmases was just like any other Sunday.
